Unique operation on heart of child performed in Belarus

Belarusian cardiac surgeons performed a unique operation. Prosthetics of the three-leaf valve of the heart were performed in the closed operation. 4 small punctures were made. The procedure was performed by 11 specialists, another 5 cardio-surgeons were on duty nearby to conduct an open operation, in case of complications.

Achievements of Belarusian surgeons were acknowledged by Europe and the USA. The specialists of the Russian Center for Pediatric Surgery are preparing a publication for the leading medical journals.
