According to the head of the State Customs Committee, Yury Senko, the flow of drugs and psychotropic substances smuggled across the border has increased almost fourfold recently. More than 600 kilograms have already been seized and 129 criminal cases have been initiated. Customs is developing both intellectually and technically. About 22 thousand trucks and cars a day are registered at the Belarusian border , and almost 60 thousand people cross it. Customs offices have the most modern equipment in its possession that enables it to check cargoes, luggage or express consignments online.
