Henri Yanpolsky, prominent figure in Belarusian music art, passes away

Henri Yanpolski a prominent figure of Belarusian music, passed away on February 6, BelTA informs.

Henri Yanpolsky was one of the most prominent figures in Belarusian music art, a multi-talented teacher and a brilliant violin player. His whole creative and public activity was aimed at augmenting and preserving for posterity the fundamental cultural values, cultivating love for music and respect for the profession of musician. Through many years of fruitful work, he has greatly contributed to the development of musical art and education in Belarus.

Professor Yanspolsky's class has taught and trained violinists from Russia, the Ukraine, Poland, Slovenia, Italy, Argentina and China. He educated more than 100 violinists, many of whom won prizes at international competitions. Today they give concerts and lead orchestras in Belarus and abroad.

The funeral of Henri Yanspolsky will be held February 8 at 14:00 at Novinki, Northern cemetery, Minsk crematorium ritual building.
