Criminal case for desecration of state symbols opened

A Minsk dweller and a resident of Vitebsk have become defendants in the criminal case for desecration of state symbols. According to surveillance footage, the men tore off flags from buildings on Revolutionary and Komsomolskaya Streets in Minsk on February 26 and threw them on the ground. This fact did not go unnoticed by law enforcement officers: a 34-year-old resident of Minsk and his 25-year-old friend were detained.

They attributed their act to alcohol and mental confusion.

Now both repent of their deeds. The police also check the detainees for involvement in other crimes.
