President discusses future of science with Belarusian scientists

The Belarusian scientists are guaranteed special support, and the development of science remains of strategic importance for the country. 18 doctors of sciences and professors received diplomas and certificates fr om the Head of the State. Their innovations contribute to the image of Belarus in the world. The solemn ceremony, wh ere conceptual tasks are outlined, is held annually on the eve of the Day of Belarusian Science. All inventions must be applied in practice, oriented toward implementation in production.

The President also had a frank conversation with scientists. They shared their views on the development of science, talked about their inventions: the latest technical developments, research in the field of education, construction and mechanical engineering. Every fifth scientific work was conducted in the medicine sphere.

About 400 candidates have joined the academic community of Belarus over the past year. Each of them possesses the guaranteed quality of a scientific idea and the prospects of its implementation. This principle will continue to be adhered to in the country. The key issues for scientists will be discussed at a large-scale event: the Head of the State promised to hold a big meeting to discuss the problems of Belarusian science.
