On the eve of the Old New Year, a traditional warm welcome was held at the Minsk boarding house for the elderly and disabled. Pupils of the Ostroshitsko-Gorodok secondary school brought here their congratulations and gifts. A large group of students from the 5th to the 11th grades including youngest son of the President Nikolai visit the orphanage every year. This is always friendly, joyful and creative communication. After all, students prepare thematic programs for each holiday. Today, the audience enjoyed the concert Christmas Fantasies, which combined poems and prose, music and dance compositions.
On the eve of the holiday numerous gifts were made: honey from the farmstead of the Head of State, potatoes of this year’s harvest from the presidential garden as well as jams, fruit drinks from the Alexandria farm. The main gift was two goats.
