By Andrey Krivosheev: The significant and large-scale event on the interaction of the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia was held successfully. Today, the President of Belarus, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces visited the Borisov training ground, the auxiliary control point for the regional grouping of the troops of the two countries as well as the first tank army of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces of Russia. This week the Belarusian and Russian military have worked together harmoniously. They successfully fulfilled the task of protecting their land. This is the main goal of the strategic exercise which is exclusively defensive in nature. However, the increase in military activity around the world dictates the need to keep gunpowder dry. Our common task is the security of the Union State. Countries support the necessary military capabilities in order to protect their own interests. This could be confirmed by the numerous observers who attended the maneuvers. The principle of transparency was respected at all stages of the exercise. Alexander Lukashenko expressed his gratitude to the military staff.

The armament of the Belarusian army includes Busel drones. They are the eyes of the command staff. They operate from the height of 5 kilometers. High survivability and exceptional clarity of vision of the battlefield are important aspects of the Belarusian development. The exercises are not just a ceremonial review of troops, but also running of the newest weapons in conditions close to real combat.

Nearly 80 international observers closely followed the course of the exercises over the past few days. Including those from the CIS countries, the OSCE and NATO. They note maximum openness and transparency.

The exercises were carried out according to the approved plan, the set goals were achieved, the training questions were worked out with good quality.

The maneuvers made it possible to improve the level of coordination between the military command and control agencies and the interoperability of staffs at various levels, as well as mutual assistance of the Belarusians and Russians in the performance of combat missions. Commanders and staffs received good practice in planning the actions of troops.
