During the occupation in the village of Omelenets of today's Kamenets district, the fascists removed the bells from the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Priest Eugene Miseyuk, who served there during the war, together with the parishioners wrote a letter to Marshal Zhukov asking for help with the bells. Two or three weeks passed, and the Red Army soldiers brought the bells.

"These bells are called Zhukov's," - said Priest Igor Perkovsky, rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Omelenets, Kamenets District.

And today, 80 years later, the ringing of three Zhukov’s bells, which arrived in Pushcha village from East Prussia, invites people to the service in the church.
