Employees and volunteers of Belarusian Red Cross actively help population during pandemic

The Belarusian Red Cross will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year.  Today, its employees and volunteers deliver food, essentials, medicines, purchased from its funds, to the population during the pandemic. There are 830000 single people in Belarus. The most vulnerable are those who have lost family ties. There are more than 100000 of them. 150 nurse, specialists with medical education, actively participate in the Red Cross events.

The Red Cross organization was founded by Swiss businessman and writer Henri Dunant, who was terrified by the bloody events in Italian village  Solferino in 1859.

They support single people, respond to emergencies, work with the Ministry of Emergencies, reconnect families, if they went separate due to armed conflicts, immigration or natural and technological disasters.
