Shepelev: All our students are completely safe, even in the most remote rural areas

Alexander Shepelev told how the work of the Security Department has changed in an interview with Belarus 1 TV channel.

Alexander Shepelev, Head of the MIA Security Department:

“We have installed additional monitoring systems and  CCTV cameras. We have installed additional turnstiles, which allow for an entrance regime at the UW. We have posted our staff or an employee at all institutions. Each employee of the Security Department has a manual alarm system. It takes up to two minutes for a squad to arrive. We use the latest technology in transmitting data notification. Therefore, the unit, arriving at the facility, already knows the exact location of facilities, entrances / exits all, as well as the internal location of the facilities.”

We have 772 educational institutions under our physical security. And all institutions, both school and pre-school ones, are equipped with manual alarm systems. All of our students are completely safe. Even in the most remote rural areas.
