Pharmaceutical and microbiological industry workers celebrate professional holiday

Belarus celebrates the Day of Pharmaceutical and Microbiological Industry. Today, the pharmaceutical industry employs about 11,000 people. There are 38 pharmaceutical companies operating in Belarus. The development of the Belarusian pharmaceutical industry made it possible not only to reduce the prices of expensive medicines, but also to improve the quality of our medicines. In total, 33 new drugs of Belarusian origin were introduced to the market over the past three years. First of all, these are drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular and nervous systems, as well as antitumor and antiviral drugs. About half of the output is sold for export. Over the past three years Belarusian medicines reached Venezuela, Uganda, Guinea and South Korea. And now the main task facing our manufacturers is to increase the share of Belarusian medicines on the shelves.
