Responsibility for traffic violations to change in Belarus on March 1

The list of violations, which will be registered by automatic photo cameras, was expanded. Now the drivers will be fined not only for speeding, but also for lack of inspection and insurance. The system has already been tested. Responsibility for other traffic violations will change since March 1. 

Tatiana Spodabayeva, senior inspector for raising public awareness of Minsk Partizansky District police department: "The inspectors will only be able to issue a verbal warning for not wearing a seat belt, for improper parking, and improper display of the emergency stop sign. At the same time, there will only be a fine for crossing a double lane, speeding, ignoring the speed limit."
