National Academy of Science elects foreign members

Vlada Karnitskaya: For the first time in nearly 15 years the National Academy of Science chose foreign correspondents. They include 3 scientists from Austria, Vietnam and Russia. Bioorganic chemistry, materials science and physics - they all work in a completely different direction. Up to this point in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus had 10 foreign scientists. Among them are Nobel Prize laureate Jaures Alferov, President of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Boris Paton and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.


Upon completion of the official part the newly elected foreign scientists went to Government House. The best Belarusian and foreign scientists talked about the development of cooperation and joint projects.
