Today in Minsk 6 scientists from Belarus and Russia were awarded the high award of the Union State Prize in the field of science and technology. The unique technology of personal identification by DNA became the winner. The technique allows to know the age of a person with an accuracy of up to 4 years and his external features: eye color, hair color and others. The development is important primarily for the investigation of serious crimes, it also allows to identify predisposition to various diseases.

This prize, which in accordance with the decisions of the heads of our states is being awarded to the laureates today, is dedicated to their work in the most advanced field of activity - genetics. It is significant that today, after hearing the laureates, we will hear about the achievements that they have made and are presenting to us, and which they are planning for the years ahead so that Belarus and Russia could be more competitive and ensure their technological sovereignty.

The Union State Prize is of great importance. We really have something to represent. About 60 programs of the Union State have been implemented. 20 programs have been implemented recently. We have prepared the concept of new programs.
