Military departments of Belarus and Russia sign cooperation plan for 2024

Following the meeting of the joint board of the Defense Ministries of Belarus and Russia, which took place in Moscow on October 18, a plan of cooperation between the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation and the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Belarus for 2024 was signed, BELTA reports with reference to the press service of the Defense Ministry.

In addition, the meeting saw the signing of the work plan of the joint board of the Defense Ministries of Belarus and Russia for the next year.

According to Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, a lot has been done since the last meeting of the joint board. "To develop military cooperation, Belarus and Russia signed an agreement on the establishment and operation of training and combat centers for joint training of servicemen of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia. The joint combat training activities have been practiced both within the framework of the combat training centers and on the issues of training of the regional grouping of troops and the Unified Regional Air Defense System," informed Viktor Khrenin.

The head of the Belarusian military reminded that, according to the decision of the leaders of Belarus and Russia on the deployment of Russian non-strategic nuclear weapons in Belarus, work was carried out to equip their storage sites. In addition, the work was carried out to train personnel in the basics of its use. The documents defining the pores of the deployment of Russian non-strategic nuclear weapons were also signed.
