I know exactly how much Lukashenko did to extinguish the conflict in 2014. And if the Minsk Agreements had been implemented, today there would be peace in Ukraine, there would be peace in Donbass, people would not be killed. Donbass would have returned to Ukraine on the rights of autonomy, a lot of things would be different.
According to her, Lukashenko's role in the negotiations on Ukraine is huge. "It will be possible to assess Lukashenko's work not only as President of Belarus, but also as a diplomat, as a negotiator, as a man of peace with a capital letter, probably some years later," she said. - It's very important to remember that politics is not a toy, that it's not just a game of tanks and beautiful shooting videos. It is very, very difficult, painstaking work, which can be entrusted only to wise people. There are not so many wise people in politics, not only in Ukraine, in the whole world (now it is a very fashionable topic - the theme of degradation of elites). And we should appreciate it".
