A monument to the famous Belarusian writer Ivan Shamyakin was constructed in Dobrush. It was decided to immortalize the famous classic in his small motherland. Out of six projects submitted for the contest, the work of the author's team of Vladimir Pipin and Konstantin KostyuchEnko won. They have been working on it for about a year, first with a miniature model, then with a life-size clay model. And now the monumental structure weighs about 7 tons. It is established in the town center. The monument will be unveiled on September 3 on the Belarusian Written Language Day.
The town is now finishing the preparations for the holiday and thematic art objects. Historical facades of buildings were restored and roads were repaired.
