Short stay unit opened at emergency hospital today

Patients will stay in the short stay unit from a couple of hours to 2 days. During this time, specialists will conduct a series of examinations to determine whether the patient needs further hospitalization or will be able to receive outpatient care. Innovation is especially necessary in the run-up to the II European Games. It is the emergency hospital that will become the main medical center during the multi-sports forum. Now the clinic is modernizing other departments.

About 300 patients are admitted to the hospital every day. To shorten the waiting time and optimize performance, the admission unit is significantly upgraded. A new navigation system will help to distribute the flow of patients, depending on their condition.

Medical equipment will also be updated in the intensive care units, as well as operating rooms. In 20 surgical rooms, more than fifty complex operations are performed every day. Most of them are emergency ones.

Another innovation will soon appear nearby the hospital building. Here, a helipad will be constructed. This will help to deliver patients in a serious condition from different parts of the country as quickly as possible so that they receive the necessary medical care in time including high-tech surgeries.
