From January 6, 2024, women with high moral qualities will be able to receive the Order of Mother, reports the agency "Minsk-Novosti" with reference to the National Legal Internet Portal.
The document specifies that exemplary mothers should prepare their children for socially useful work, instill culture and respect for the laws, historical and national traditions of Belarus.
The norms on criminal records have also been tightened. If previously the order was not given to those who have a criminal record, now any conviction, even the one that hasn't been in force for a long time, will be taken into account. The previous version of the law allowed to give orders to mothers, who were twice or more brought to administrative responsibility for violations of public order and some other articles of the Administrative Code, if the term expired long ago, but now the statute of limitations does not play a role.
