By Karina Pashkova: Tribute to Belarusian soldiers killed in Afghanistan has been paid today on Minsk’s Island of Tears at a chapel opened 20 years ago. It is a symbol of heroism and courage of the Belarusians who took part in the 10-year Afghan campaign. The names of each deceased soldier, which is more than 700, are carved on the four altars of the chapel.
