Youth. Science. Innovation

21 января 2015
Over the weekend, we will celebrate the Day of Belarusian Science. This year, the intellectual elite rely primarily on young reserve. Stable development of the economy and, as a consequence, the security of the state are provided by two fundamental factors - science and innovation. Young, energetic and creative people play an extremely important role in it. Such young researchers were awarded today in Yanka Kupala Theater. Certificates and cash prizes from the Ministry of Education and trade unions were given to talented students and their teachers from across the country.
Only young scientists from the universities of our country earned last year almost $ 7 million. Students can realize their ideas in over 200 research centers. At the same time, they can make money not only for the lab, but also for themselves.

Michail Zhuravkov, Minister of Education of Belarus: "Students starting from their third year of education are already engaged in serious research projects that bring them satisfaction and financial support. This financial support is often very significant, when they perform economic contracts for businesses, not only from Belarus and Russia but also from other countries."

National Competition of the State Committee for Science and Technology is now searching for perspective projects from all over the country and provides grants for the best of them.

Alexander Shumilin, chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology: "Science is transformation of money into knowledge, and innovation is a process of reverse transformation of knowledge into money. We will continue the contest. This year we are trying to attract the Russian institute of development."

Special liquid for cleaning blood, LED emitters for plants and even a center for precision metal working. Only the National Academy of Sciences will create this year about 10 new productions. At least one-third of the workers in these projects will be young scientists.
