An example of tolerance, long-standing friendship and unity on the eve of a great holiday

Authentically bright, dancing and poetic representatives of national minorities in our country visited the Palace of Independence. Koreans and Gypsies, Jews and Poles, Russians and Ukrainians - there is no place for geopolitical enmity, which is imposed in the world today, but only good-neighborly and friendly relations.

At present, representatives of 156 nationalities permanently reside in the territory of Belarus. These are people who have historically lived on the Belarusian lands, and those who were forced to move, fleeing from wars or natural disasters, and found a second home here. Of course, they walked through the iconic halls of the Palace of Independence not only in national costumes, but also with dancing.

Oleg Rogatnikov, chairman of the Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities:

On the eve of Unity Day it is very important for representatives of all key nationalities to be here, to be all together. For us, for Jews, who have felt anti-Semitism and the legacy of the Holocaust very clearly, we realize how important tolerance is, how important is the fragile world in which we live. And so, of course, when we are all together here today, this is a very important event for all of us.
