The XIX century monument of architecture, the Kossovo Palace and Park Ensemble, has been unveiled in Ivatsevichi District.

According to BelTA, the restoration of the historical and cultural heritage began in May 2008. Before that, within three years, the restorers have been working on scientific and design documentation for the restoration of the site. The implementation of the ambitious project included several stages: the restoration of the palace inside and outside, the creation of the museum exposition, the laying of engineering networks, the territory improvement.

The project was financed by the state investment program. As a result, more than Br34 million has been invested in the reconstruction of the Palace and Park Complex over the last 15 years, including more than Br6 million this year.

The opening ceremony and commissioning of the unique site was attended by Minister of Culture Anatoly Markevich, Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Yuri Shuleyko, Chairman of the Ivatsevichi District Executive Committee Alexander Gritsuk, representatives of the talented youth of Brest Region.

Kossovo Palace was built by Puslowski family of magnates and industrialists in 1838. The choice of the place was related to the neighboring historical manor, where, according to the official version, Tadeusz Kosciuszko was born in 1746. Napoleon Orda, Henryk Sienkiewicz, Eliza Orzeszko, Jozef Piłsudski were among the palace's famous guests.
