On May 10 Heydar Aliyev would have turned 95 years old. A scientific conference is held in the National Library of Belarus in memory of the statesman of the Soviet Union, the two-time Hero of Socialist Labor and the ex-president of Azerbaijan. Diplomats, scientists and representatives of state and public organizations take part in it. The conference participants note that one of Aliyev's first decisions since coming to power was joining the CIS and establishing diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, including Belarus.
By the way, memorable events are held not only in Belarus, but also in a number of other countries, including Azerbaijan.
