In Belarus, the profitability of some paid medical services is limited. The limiting norm is established by the Ministry of Health. It should not exceed 30% of the planned cost price. The decree will come into force on July 1.

The services for issuing certificates of fitness to drive vehicles by special medical commissions, dentistry and services for radiation, ultrasound and laboratory diagnostics have fallen under the restriction.

In addition to profitability, they are also subject to restrictions on surcharges. For example, at night they cannot exceed 30% of the current tariffs, and 50% on holidays.

At the same time, the restrictions are introduced only for the provision of medical services to citizens of Belarus. When serving foreigners and stateless persons, medical institutions have the right to set tariffs and profitability independently.
