Every month, Minsk taxi services are used by about 1 million people. During the Ice Hockey World Championship in May, this figure is expected to increase at least threefold. Currently, there are about 7,000 taxis in Minsk. A minimum taxi fare in Minsk makes up about 4,500 Br. Earlier this year, a memorandum has been signed, according to which taxi fares will not increase throughout the World Championship. Most taxi services adhere to these standards.
