Minsk and St. Petersburg agree on closer cooperation in business, socio-cultural sphere and tourism

Support for gifted youth, educational and cultural exchange programs between Minsk and Russia's northern capital. Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev and Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov discussed these issues during the meeting. The parties agreed on closer bilateral cooperation in industry, business, socio-cultural sphere and tourism. St. Petersburg is already implementing joint projects with such Belarusian industrial giants as MAZ, MTZ and Amkodor.  There is also cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry. During the meeting it was agreed to hold St. Petersburg days in Minsk in April next year. There was also an idea to create a single working group in the field of business cooperation
