Lukashenko: We must do everything to prevent this war

Official Minsk has always called for dialogue and consent, for peaceful resolution of any conflicts. But if you suddenly stand up to defend your land - our army is ready! 

"We are military men, we are prepared for war. But we must do everything prevent this war!". This key idea was voiced in the Palace of Independence during the honoring of the best military graduates and newly graduated generals as Alexander Lukashenko bestowed  the shoulder straps and letters of commendation.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:

“And we need to keep our ears open and our powder dry, because as never before in modern history has our republic faced such an unprecedented level of threat to national security challenges. More than ever, our military people look to us, the military people, with great hope. People believe that we officers will do everything possible, and even the impossible, to protect the homeland. And we have no right to let them down. I want you to be worthy of that trust. We are military men, we are being trained for war. But we must do everything to make sure that there would be no war.”
