Members of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic headed by Chairpeson Natalya Kochanova and employees of the Secretariat of the Council of the Republic are taking part in the national subbotnik in the park named after the 40th anniversary of the Great October Revolution in Minsk, BelTA correspondent reports.
The front line of work is planting trees, restoring the green zone, cleaning the territory from leaves. "It's our tradition when in April days we gather together to take part in the national subbotnik," said Natalia Kochanova.
According to the speaker, to work together on such a beautiful day is wonderful. "It unites the collective. It is for the good of our city, our country, - said the Speaker of the Council of the Republic. - We are proud of the cleanliness, tidiness of our streets, parks, squares. Often people do not think about what hard work it is. The work of those people who do it day by day - workers of housing and communal services, enterprises and organizations. We must appreciate it if Belarus is always to remain so beautiful and well-maintained. Those who will take part in the clean-up day today and work, will not throw a piece of paper once again and will try to preserve the beautiful nature that exists in our country, cleanliness and livability of our streets."
