The ceremony of taking military oath took place in the military units. A total of 7.000 recruits took oath of allegiance to the flag. Traditionally, the ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Defense Ministry, local authorities and, of course, the friends and families of the young military men. The Defense Minister Yuri Zhadobin congratulated the recruits in the educational guard center № 72 in Pechi.
Except for Borisov, solemn ceremonies took place in Grodno, Slonim and the Brest Fortress. Right now the recruits' first severance is taking place - they can spend time with their friends and family until tonight.
