Various festive events prepared for anniversary of Yanka Kupala, including laying flowers at poet's monument

The 140th anniversary of the birth of the national poet Yanka Kupala is a special date in the Year of Historical Memory. Yanka Kupala is one of the few  authors, who are called classics of the Belarusian literature, whose writings are the national treasure. Commemorative, festive events cover the period both before and after the anniversary. But one of the invariable traditions is laying flowers at the monument of Yanka Kupala in Minsk.
