The IATA urged to cancel the ban on flights over Belarus

EU ban on all Belarusian air carriers using  EU airspace comes into effect at midnight  

And those who for political reasons try to close our skies to European airliners were addressed today to the International Air Transport Association. The reputable association calls to lift the ban on flights over Belarus.

The IATA, which includes 290 members from 120 countries, calls not to politicize air safety in connection with the incident with the Ryanair plane landing in Minsk. A statement to this effect was published on the official IATA website.

"This development is disappointing. EASA should lift its ban and allow airlines to manage safety as they do every day with routine operational risk assessments. Politics should never interfere with the safe operation of aircraft and politicians should not use aviation safety as a cover to achieve political or diplomatic objectives."
