Belarus delivers humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe

A special plane from Belarus has delivered 92 tons of all kinds of goods to Zimbabwe. The list has been agreed with the receiving country.

Belarusian rescuers and representatives of the diplomatic mission transferred more than 40 tons of humanitarian aid to local authorities directly at the airport in Harare. These are clothes, shoes, food, baby food, school supplies, soap, laundry detergent, blankets and much more. Today, these products are needed more than ever in the affected areas. More than 300 people are believed to be victims of a tropical cyclone in Zimbabwe. That is why a national catastrophe was announced there.

The government of Zimbabwe and Mozambique appealed for help to the world community, including our country after the deadly cyclone Idai. It is called the largest natural disaster in the southern hemisphere. The effects of the cyclone affected about 3 million people.
