Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko presented the national action plan for the Year of Quality at a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 5, BelTA reports.
"Quality is the most important priority in the policy of our country," he said. - The main criterion (is the ever-growing export of Belarusian goods and services and recognizability of our national brand "Made in Belarus", which is represented in 160 countries of the world".
According to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2023, Belarusian exports reached $36 billion and exceeded the figure for the same period of 2022 by almost 6%. The geography of supplies is also growing.
The recognizability of Belarus is evidenced not only by the growth of exports, but also by the number of people visiting the country, said the Prime Minister. Last year, 1.6 million people from 173 countries visited Belarus - and that's only organized visits.
Not only the sights of our country are in demand among foreigners: people come to us for treatment (123 thousand citizens from 149 countries were treated in 2023) and study (25 thousand students from more than 100 countries are studying in Belarus). "If there was no quality of education and treatment, no one would come here, even despite the visa-free regime," said Roman Golovchenko.
