Social Security Fund plans to launch mobile application to control future pension

The Social Security Fund is an advanced digital body. The task of the fund is to create a comfortable and transparent service for two categories of payers: for our businesses and for the individual.

According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus, Irina Kostevich, such conditions have already been 100% created for taxpayers, business entities and enterprises. "Our task is to ensure the maximum comfort and minimize contacts between the fund's employees and direct payers," she said.

Today the relevant reports are received through the portal of the Fund, the system of payment of contributions is built, and the task is solved as much as possible. "As for the individual, we are also moving step by step. Today any person can go through an electronic service either in the fund or through an information intermediary and find out what length of service is recorded for him, whether he has a bona fide employer and whether the employer actually pays contributions in full from his salary," said the Minister. This is the way to keep a hand on the pulse of the employer and to control the employer."

Next year a mobile application will be presented. "Now you do not have to go somewhere, you can look through a cell phone application, get information about your length of service, your salary, which is used to pay the premiums," announced the innovation Irina Kostevich.

There will be no data on older people in the personified registration. There is information only since 2003. While granting a pension the history of prior years prior to 2003 is also taken into consideration, she says, but with a confirmation by documents. One should contact the employer where he worked before 2003 and collect information on the wages or request information from the archives if the employer was liquidated.

Our proposal was to digitize the history of a person's employment history before 2003, so that as much as possible, by forming an electronic pension file, to provide such advance information, so that a person could see the problem, where seniority is lost, contributions are not paid. To restore your rights and the guarantees you had before 2003.

They looked at the human side, the business side, the employer side, because it is necessary to spend resources on digitization. "Let's look at the example of a pensioner who is drawing a pension today. This is a woman born in 1964. In fact, she should have 40 years of work experience. 19 years is confirmed by personalized accounting, and 21 years you need to gather these certificates. This is done by the employer from the place where you retire. But this is also all labor-intensive for the employer, that's why we wanted to do this digitization. But we also heard the problem in terms of the labor intensity of digitizing this big seniority here. So we will move step by step, step by step," summed up Irina Kostevich
