The parliamentarians will help Belarusians to get rid of obsessive advertising in mailboxes. These legislative amendments are under consideration now. The deputies propose to change the legal field of using commercial videos in public transport and placing banners on cars.

Viktor Nikolaikin, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus: "Of course, many people are tired of this monotonous repetition, and sometimes with a big sound, when there is a commercial ad in the passenger compartment after the announcement of stops. It's not supposed to continue. And we're working on it: to minimize the number of commercial advertising, it should not disturb the passengers' peace of mind both in terms of sound and duration".

The changes may also affect the Belarusian TV market. There may be restrictions on foreign content and advertising. The prohibition may also apply to the play of commercial videos during children's broadcasts.
