The star crew of the ship "Soyuz MS-24" has to undergo rehabilitation and adaptation. It takes place in several stages. The hardest of them is the first week, when the body again gets used to gravity.

Ruslan Titov, editor of the magazine "Vostok. Way to the Stars", historian of cosmonautics (Russia):

Cosmonauts, astronauts no matter how many days they stay in space, on this or that station, on this or that ship, it still affects the body. Weightlessness makes its own adjustments, so in any case, after returning, all cosmonauts have approximately the same program. All undergo a period of rehabilitation, and during this period a lot of experiments are conducted, because the study of the effects of weightlessness and flight on the human body is ongoing.

"There is an institute of medical and biological problems in Russia that deals with this. Cosmonauts are waiting for a period of recovery, rest and some medical and other experiments, because it is important for understanding how a person tolerates flight, what we should prepare for when there will be long flights," Titov noted.

"In general, up to 2 months is provided for the period of rehabilitation of cosmonauts," emphasized the historian.
