The corresponding decree was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko. The document contains the description of the mark along with the image. This is a red pentagon with an inverted letter K and the inscription "Belarus" in the center.
What the Belarusian Quality Mark should look like was discussed at the meeting with the President on January 5 - at the very beginning of the Year of Quality. When developing the concept, the sign, which was awarded during the Soviet Union, was taken as a basis. The position of the President is that we must not to abandon our heritage. Alexander Lukashenko instructed to make the design without excesses so that neither the color scheme nor the pictures overloaded the symbol.
The five corners symbolize the combination of five production indicators that help to achieve the quality of Belarusian products: safety, environmental friendliness, innovativeness, technology and aesthetics.
The procedure for awarding the State Quality Mark and the list of incentives and preferences granted to manufacturers when awarding it will be determined by the government.

A rather serious mechanism has been developed, which will be implemented within a year. The enterprise, which is ready to submit its products for the Quality Mark, must pass several stages. The products must correspond to the quality of the world analogs or surpass them in this respect.
The quality mark will be issued for two years.
