By Sergei Gusachenko: The Baltic region has invited Belarusian builders to implement major infrastructure projects. Belarusian experience, technology, materials and labor are needed to carry out ambitious goals. The most prestigious football tournament involves a serious amount of construction and renovation of various facilities.

The 21st FIFA World Cup will be held in 11 cities on 12 stadiums. The construction of a new football stadium in Kaliningrad has already begun, with a number of major infrastructure projects to be implemented in the city. Kaliningrad is seriously counting on Belarusian builders and actively studying Minsk's experience in organizing the Ice Hockey World Championship.

In coming years, the region will need tens of thousands of builders. Over 50 billion Russian rubles will be invested in its infrastructure.

Governor of the Kaliningrad region Nikolai Tsukanov suggests that Belarusians should build a health resort on the shores of the Baltic Sea and act as investors in the construction of a deep-water port. Already next year, a fully-fledged agricultural town built according to Belarus' example will appear in the region.
