Belarus celebrates Children's Book Day

The date was not chosen by chance. Hans Christian Andersen, a great author of favorite books for kids was born on April 2.  The holiday was first observed in 1967.

By tradition, contests, exhibitions, festivals dedicated to children's books, as well as meetings with famous writers, are held in all countries on this day.
