Today Belarus celebrates the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution. President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Belarusians on the holiday.
People are walking on the streets with banners and red flags. A rally took place in Minsk at the monument to Lenin on Independence Square. About a thousand people took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers.
Members of the Communist Party of Belarus, veterans, representatives of the Belarusian Union of Officers, youth organizations and deputies participated in the action on Independence Square.
