Belarus is preparing to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the Great Victory. Large-scale celebration will take place across the country, and will begin with the action Belarus Remembers. At noon there will be a solemn ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the Victory Monument. Regional centers will announce a national minute of silence as well.
A festive program has been prepared in the regions and in the capital: demonstration of military equipment, sports events.
In the evening, a festive concert will take place at the Victory Monument in Minsk at 21.30. Songs of the war years will be performed to the accompaniment of the Presidential Orchestra. The TV channel Belarus 1 will hold live broadcast of the concert.
The culmination of the Victory Day will be a festive salute. Fireworks from 30 volleys will illuminate the sky over Minsk one hour before midnight.
Particular attention is paid these days to veterans of the war. During the festive events, they will be accompanied by volunteers. Belarusian companies have prepared gifts for veterans.
