Astronaut, spindle and kettle. The toys, that were on the festive tree 80 years ago, can be seen in the "House-Museum of the RSDLP" in Minsk. An exhibition of New Year's retro decorations has opened there. They were produced from the 40s to the 80s. All exhibits are from a private collection. There are also rare ones. For example, according to Glinka's technique, toys were made only once in the history of the Soviet Union, and cotton jewelry disappeared from store shelves 70 years ago.

Ekaterina Dovgopolyuk, researcher at the house-museum of the 1st congress of the RSDLP: "There are about 700 toys here, they are, of course, divided by theme, there are very old techniques, there is a division by fairy tales into blocks. There are cardboard toys, wadded toys made of pressed cotton, blown glass blowing toys, hand-painted. Toys of this kind are no longer produced. They tend to break and become more and more valuable every year."

Another symbol of the holiday is presented in the museum, New Year's cards from which you can find out what you wished for your friends and family 50 years ago. The novelty of this year's exhibition is carnival masks.
