National Art Museum opens exhibition in memory of People's Artiste Arlen Kashkurevich

He has designed more than 200 books by domestic and foreign authors! He is the greatest master of book illustration and one of the founders of the school of modern Belarusian graphics! Arlen Kashkurevich turns 90 this year. The National Art Museum opens a memorial exhibition in memory of the master. 

More than 100 exhibits in the techniques of etching, lithography, ink drawing and even watercolors are displayed.  Arlen Kashkurevich’s works have been stored in the state archive of literature and art for about 40 years. He painted the Arc de Triomphe, the English Channel, and the Notre-Dame de Paris.

"Concerto Grosso" penultimate graphic series by Arlen Kashkurevich is a true art. Negotiations are held to make the "Concerto Grosso" displayed in the museum halls, thanks to the project of the National Art Museum. It is planned that the cellist will perform popular classical works right next to the graphics of Arlen Kashkurevich. The exhibition also includes the artist's diploma works, postcards with the symbolic Pinocchio, tools, an etching board and the engraving from the partisan series, for which the master was awarded a state prize. "City and People" is a cycle dedicated to beloved, native Minsk.
