International Christmas Opera Forum starts in Minsk

Minsk will become the capital of academic vocals for a week. The International Christmas Opera Forum begins at the Bolshoi Theater in the evening. The10th, anniversary, talent show will begin with "Prince Igor" performance. The 87th season was opened in the Bolshoi with this premiere. The forum’s repertoire includes Turandot by Puccini, Strauss's operetta The Bat and Carmen. 

Sergei Murzaev, Honored Artist of Russia, soloist of the Novaya Opera Theater: "I came for the first time and am very glad to be Minsk. I saw this theater of stunning beauty."

Vladimir Rylatko, First Deputy Director General of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus: "The forum is anniversary, therefore it is so vociferous, big, large-scale. We naturally support the tradition that our first performances should be here. We invited wonderful singers."

You can hear the best academic voices not only in the theater. Belarus 3 will hold a telethon following the trail of the opera forum. Viewers will get acquainted with performances at the Bolshoi over 5 evenings. A gala concert of the winners of the Minsk International Christmas Vocal Competition will be held on December 24 at 21:05.
