The names of the winners of the contest Young Talents of Belarus were announced today in the House of Radio. The organizer of the project is Belteleradiocompany. For the 5th time the competition gathers talented young singers and instrumentalists. Among the contestants are solo performers and groups from all over Belarus.
This year the project Young Talents of Belarus received a record number of applications - three hundred. The radio competition was held in three stages. Young performers were evaluated in the categories Pop vocal, Instrumental music, Soloists and Heritage. 90 applicants became the finalists. It is symbolic that the contest is timed to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian Radio.
The music marathon lasted for four months and ended with a solemn awarding ceremony. This year, the jury awarded 57 young musicians. The Grand Prix in the category Instrumental Music was given to violinist Maria Tskhovrebova. Helena Meraai became the best singer.
The First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio will broadcast interviews with the project winners on Sunday at 11:30 in the program Young Talents of Belarus.
