The holiday was established by a presidential decree in 1994. Works by Belarusian filmmakers have repeatedly received awards at various international festivals. Today, our country is justly proud of its talented directors, actors, artists and cameramen. Their works make up the golden fund of Belarusian national cinema. A unique retrospective of Belarusian films will be presented today at the Museum of the Belarusian Cinema History.
