The cross of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Belarus’ spiritual shrine, was made in the 12th century by jeweler Lazar Boksha and disappeared at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Since then, the original ancient art masterpiece has been lost forever. The national relic was decided to be revived in the 1990s with the revival of religious life. The cross and, a few years later, a reliquary to store the remains of St. Euphrosyne, was recreated by Brest jeweler Nikolai Kuzmich.
