Experts in Moscow have chosen three candidates for Union State awards in the field of literature and art in 2017-2018. Their names are not disclosed yet and will be known only after they are approved by the Supreme State Council of the Union State. Belarus nominated writer and journalist Nikolai Cherginets, editor-in-chief of the newspaper SB. Belarus Today Pavel Yakubovich, chief conductor of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Belarus Alexander Anisimov, as well as the authors of the animation series Tales of the Old Piano.
Three awards of the Union State in the field of literature and art are awarded every two years. The amount of the reward is 5 million Russian rubles.
