By Nina Mozheiko: Yesterday saw a rehearsal of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest opening ceremony. The 17 contestants were divided into groups in alphabetical order, Belarus’ representative Alexander Minenok placed in the same group with Albania, Armenia, Australia and Bulgaria. The parade was followed by the performance of the Eurovision anthem recorded earlier this week in a studio.
During a Eurovision party at the Hard Rock Café, Minenok and the Sensation show-ballet performed a jazz version of the song Music of My Victories. The event was also attended by Ruslan Aslanov, last year’s Eurovision participant from Belarus.
The next step for the artists is holding briefings and second rehearsal at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
